BICONE

System description

The BICONE is a mixing vessel specially designed for the high-efficiency addition of gases to water. It enriches a water flow with the gas required with minimal hydraulic loss.

The BICONE is able to solubilize different gases like carbon dioxide (CO₂), oxygen (O₂) and ozone (O₃) into water at saturation limit. This technology is very efficient in process water where the gas solubility is limited by operating conditions.

The high efficiency of this system is based on the counter-flow principle of gas and water, which results in a high gas-liquid interface. The mass transfer is optimized by the conical shape of the mixing vessel.

Integration of a BICONE mixing vessel in an existing plant is generally problem-free, and the space requirements are small.

Many years of operating experience in large numbers of plants are best proof of the advantages of this system.
